Back in Germany. Us partying and explaining our experiences in Moldova with beverages, we brought with us.

October 12. and 13. was the "National Wine Holiday". Moldova shows it´s wines to visitors from all over the world. Unfortunately there was not so nice weather this year.

This caterpillar tractor and plough belongs to a farmer in Voinova. After the Kolchos closed down, he bought the machinery and started to work on own land. He is doing quite successful on his 7 hectars.

Our "landlady" Mrs. Serafima showed us how to prepare traditional Moldovan "Mameliga", what we know as "Polenta". It is made in a special pot with round shape bottom. Mameliga is one of the most important food in Moldova.

The tractor is not working any more. The horse took it´s place. This happend very often during the last 15 years in Moldovan agriculture

Lutz tries to say hello to a nice goat near the village of Podoima in the Camenca district.

Goats and pigs are also kept by teachers and other people working in public sector because it is nearly impossible to buy all things needed from the small salleries they get.
